Dr. BETO RODRIGUES

Dr. Beto Rodrigues is a professional guitarist and musician from Brasília, Brazil. 

He began his musical journey at the age of 11, drawing early inspiration from a wide range of styles, including Brazilian Popular Music (MPB), Rock and Jazz.

He holds degrees from the University of Brasília (UnB) and the School of Music of Brasília (EMB), and has performed with nationally and internationally recognized artists such as Genil Castro, Paulo André Tavares, Ademir Junior, Steve Herberman, Craig Wagner, Ryan Cohan, Chris Fitzgerald, and Peter Knudsen.

In 2016, attended the University of Louisville in the United States, where he performed at the university’s Jazz Festival, opening for renowned drummer Carl Allen. During his time there, he studied with distinguished musicians including Donny McCaslin, Denis DiBlasio, Mike Tracy, and Jamey Aebersold.

In 2017, he relocated to the Washington, D.C. area, where he was awarded a full scholarship to study with Steve Herberman at the Washington Conservatory of Music.

Dr. Rodrigues earned his Master of Music in Jazz Performance from the University of Louisville in 2020. In 2026, he completed his Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Jazz Performance at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, further establishing his career as both a performer and scholar.

Dr. Beto Rodrigues is a D’Angelico Guitars artist.
