Beto Rodrigues is a professional musician and guitarist from Brasília, Brazil. He had his first contact with music around the age of 11, with influences from different musical styles such as MPB and Rock.

He has graduated from the University of Brasília (UnB) and from the School of Music of Brasilia (EMB). He played with nationally and internationally recognized musicians such as Genil Castro, Paulo André Tavares, Ademir Junior, Steve Herberman, Craig Wagner, Ryan Cohan, Chris Fitzgerald and Peter Knudsen. 

In 2016, he attended the University of Louisville (UofL) in the United States, where he played at the Jazz Fest, opening the show for drummer Carl Allen. Also at the University of Louisville he studied with some prominent musicians such as Donny McCaslin, Denis DiBlasio, Mike Tracy and James Aebersold.

In 2017, Beto Rodrigues moved to the Washington DC area, where he was given a full scholarship to study with Steve Herberman at the Washington Conservatory of Music.

In 2020, he got his master’s degree in music (Jazz Performance) at University of Louisville.

Currently, Beto is attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he is pursuing his Doctorate in Jazz Performance.
